This is a Choice Land

Ether 2:12 "Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free . . if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ,"

The formula for maintaining freedom is not complicated.

God Hears and Answers Prayers

Ether 1:35 ". . the brother of Jared did cry unto the Lord, and the Lord had compassion upon Jared;"

The Lord loves each of us. He is waiting and yearning for us to ask -- just pray sincerely!

Pay Attention for a Miracle

The Book of Mormon 9:15 ". . God has not ceased to be a God of miracles."

Pay attention and witness a small or large gift from God -- a miracle -- today.

Choose Jesus -- Choose Happiness

The Book of Mormon 8:38 "Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of  Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies--because of the praise of the world?"

Jesus Christ Has Risen

The Book of Mormon 7:5 ". . believe in Jesus Christ . . (that) he hath risen again, whereby he hath gained the victory over the grave;"

Through Jesus Christ, we will also live again!

O Ye Fair Ones

The Book of Mormon 6:17 "O ye fair ones, how could ye have rejected that Jesus, who stood with open arms to receive you!"

Choose Jesus . . . the way, the truth, the life and the light of the world!

Wisdom's Paths

Helaman 12:5 "Yea, how quick to be lifted up in pride; yea, how quick to boast, . . yea, how slow to walk in wisdom's paths!"

In the Hands of God

The Book of Mormon 5:23 "Know ye not that ye are in the hands of God?"

We control only our own faith, thoughts, words and deeds. God handles the rest.

The Wicked Punish the Wicked

The Book of Mormon 4:5 ". . it is by the wicked that the wicked are punished;"

Perhaps wickedness prepares us to inflict the pain we feel about our poor choices onto others.

Before the Judgment-seat of Christ

The Book of Mormon 3:20 "I write unto you all . . that ye may know that ye must all stand before the judgment-seat of Christ, yea, every soul who belongs to the whole human family of Adam; and ye must stand to be judged of your works, whether they be good or evil;"

That day is coming for each one of us.

Taking Happiness in Sin

The Book of Mormon 2:13 ". . their sorrowing was not unto repentance . . but it was rather . . because the Lord would not always suffer them to take happiness in sin."

Sorrow is good if it leads to repentance.

Jesus Christ Still Performs Miracles

3 Nephi 29:7 "Yea, and wo unto him that shall say . . that there can be no miracle wrought by Jesus Christ;"

Pay attention! Miracles still and will happen.

Receive the Words of Jesus

3 Nephi 28:34 ". . for whoso receiveth not the words of Jesus and the words of those whom he hath sent receiveth not him; and therefore he will not receive them at the last day;"

Turn to Jesus, who wants every one.

Jesus Christ's Invitation

3 Nephi 27:14 "And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me . ."

Come to Christ and live.

No Action Equals No Faith

3 Nephi 26:11 ". . I will try the faith of my people."

Faith shows.

Healing In His Wings

3 Nephi 25:2 ". . unto you that fear my name, shall the Son of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings;"

Jesus Christ is our healer.

Return Unto Me

3 Nephi 24:7 "Return unto me and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of Hosts."

When the Lord is not in our lives, who left?

Prophets Testify of Christ

3 Nephi 23:5 "Search the prophets, for many there be that testify of these things."

Trust Jesus Christ and Trust prophets who testify of Him!

My Kindness Shall Not Depart

3 Nephi 22:10 "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee,"

The Lord's hand is "stretched out still."

They May Come Unto Me

3 Nephi 21:27 ". . the work shall commence among all the dispersed of my people, with the Father to prepare the way whereby they may come unto me . ."

The Lord will gather his people.

Prophets Testify of Jesus Christ

3 Nephi 20:24 ". . all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have testified of me."

Prophets continue testifying of Jesus Christ today.

They Desired The Holy Ghost

3 Nephi 19:9 ". . they did pray for that which they most desired; and they desired that the Holy Ghost should be given unto them."

The Holy Ghost can teach us what is right and what to do.

No Disputations Among You

3 Nephi 18:34 ". . blessed are ye if ye have no disputations among you."

Refuse to contend with anyone!

I Will Heal Them

3 Nephi 17:7 "Have ye any that are sick among you . . or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them,"

Jesus wants to heal us, and he can.

The Fulness of My Gospel

3 Nephi 16:10 ". . if they shall . . reject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them."

Access to the gospel in its fulness is conditional.

Look Unto Me

3 Nephi 15:9 "I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live;"

Ask, Seek, Knock

3 Nephi 14:7 "Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

Action comes before answers.

Father in Heaven Knows Us

3 Nephi 13:8 ". . your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him."

Still, by asking, we acknowledge God's desire to help us.

Heed the Words of Apostles

3 Nephi 12:1 "Blessed are ye if ye shall give heed unto the words of these twelve whom I have chosen from among you to minister unto you, and to be your servants;"
